Dr. Curtis Criswell, DC is an Ohio native and graduated Cum Laude as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, GA. Prior to chiropractic school, he had a career in manufacturing sales/operations and real estate before deciding to pursue his dream of becoming a chiropractor. This dream came through experience lived, as he credits chiropractic for changing his life in his late 20s. He states, “I had some skills and success at certain tasks, but I wasn’t pursuing anything with passion.” This lack of passion had caught up with him after a decade of neglecting his health that lead to weight gain, poor social habits, and a life that needed to change. Since deciding that day, he has gone on to complete 5 Ironman triathlon events and graduate as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

While at Life University he held many roles. He served as: Peer Assisted Learning Leader tutoring doctorate classes, Applied Kinesiology Club Secretary, Vice President, and President; Chairman of the International College of Applied Kinesiology Student Advisory Board, and a Research Track student. His research involved being a member of a 3-student team that investigated the effects of chiropractic care in the post concussion syndrome population.

His post graduate education alongside his degreed credentials include: amassing close to 400 hours of functional neurology board training through the Carrick Institute, over 300 hours of training through the International College of Applied Kinesiology, and he is Webster trained in perinatal and pediatric care.

He expresses his love and awe of the natural universe through his unrelenting study and clinical application of functional neurology as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Knowing the brain’s proven ability to create neuroplasticity, his treatment approach lends itself to a natural trust of your body’s instinctual will to heal. A specific and individualized neuro-rehabilitative care plan is created through a thorough intake of your chief complaint, a bedside examination, and any recommended labs.
